A few summers ago I had shoulder surgery. I had to drive to a different town to have it done so my daughter drove me there for my overnight procedure with her new born baby and my other grand daughter Boogie who was 2 and a half years old at the time. At the time Boog was already out of diapers but still insistent on seeing every public restroom in the world. In Wyoming though, there often is no public restroom. Not for miles and miles. Boog in the back begins this, "I just don't think I can make it." chant. So we pulled over and my daughter took her out behind a bush for her first outdoor do do ever. What an adventure, Tara even had to demonstrate because sissy Boogie just couldn't fathom the concept of squatting.
After my surgery my girl friends took turns taking care of me while I recovered and Tara was in school, college, and so I baby sat my grand kids a lot. I couldn't move either arm and was heavily medicated. As things always happen the friend with the least experience with children was taking her turn helping me. Barb, looking out to check on Boogie finds her doing a do do at the bottom of the stairs of my backyard porch.
"I don't think your supposed to do that." said Barb somewhat flustered
"Oh, it's O.K." replied the proud and cheerful Boogie, "Aunt Tara showed me how."
